We’re excited to announce that Softinn has officially been awarded MD Status by MDEC (Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation)! This is not just a recognition of our journey so far—it’s a launchpad for what’s coming next.

What is MD Status?

MD Status (formerly known as MSC Status) is a prestigious recognition awarded by MDEC to companies that drive digital innovation and economic growth in Malaysia. It opens doors to various incentives—most notably, a tax exemption for up to 10 years, as well as access to government grants, ease in hiring foreign talent, and increased visibility as a tech-forward company.

This status is reserved for businesses that are committed to building technology solutions that advance Malaysia’s digital economy.

Why Did Softinn Apply for It?

There are two main reasons:

1. We’re Profitable
   After years of product development, customer feedback, and iteration, Softinn is now a profitable and sustainable business. With profitability comes tax—and naturally, we sought out the MD Status to enjoy tax incentives that help us reinvest more into innovation and growth.

2. We’re Building the Future of Hospitality
   At the same time, we’ve been hard at work on a new product designed to transform the hotel guest experience. Think self-service, automation, personalization, and seamless check-ins—all aligned with Malaysia’s vision for a more digitized future.
   This is more than just a product—it’s our MD Project, and it represents our commitment to push the boundaries of hotel tech, not just for Malaysia but for the region.
