Why should I join Softinn?

If becoming someone who is practical & technically strong is your career goal, then we are right for you.

At this time of Covid pandemic, will I be working at the office or working from home?

HR will decide this, depends on the situation. You will be informed, for sure.

Nevertheless, we are proud to say that the whole team is ready for Work From Home (WFH), if needed. Because we have the right mindset, right tools, system, and processes in place for this.

How will my job application be evaluated?

We look at how your resume and CV were written; your past working experiences (full-time/part-time), most importantly what have you achieved in your past working experiences; the extracurricular activities you participated in; your previous or current projects or portfolios; your skillsets (soft skill or technical skill); and lastly your reply to our preliminary questions.

 

Above all, we evaluate yours in comparison with other job applicants so as to find the right fit.

How will my work performance be evaluated?

You will be evaluated based on the quality of your work contributed, including the timeliness in meeting objectives. Besides, you would be evaluated on your ability to work with a team, your ability to present your idea and work outcomes, as well as your ability to learn and adapt.

What are the minimum expectations you have from me?

Generally, we would expect a fundamental knowledge on the job role that you are applying for. Other than technical skills, your interpersonal skill as well as your passion & commitment you have about the job matters.

What is your expectation from an intern?

We expect nothing less from an intern than a matured working adult. A healthy & positive mindset matters.

What is the minimum internship duration?

We accept an internship duration of a minimum of 3 months internship duration. Less than that is challenging for us to really train you.

How much is the internship allowance offered?

For a new intern who has never done an internship or part-timer with us, we offer an allowance of RM 500 per month.

For an Alumni intern who has been our ex-intern or ex-part-timer, we offer a range of RM 600 - RM 800 per month of allowance (depending on your past performance while you were with us & your current performance).

Does interns have chances to progress into full-time employee after completed internship?

Well, it depends on (i) whether or not we have the vacancy or opening, AND (ii) whether or not you fit into the role & culture.

Is this a newly-created position, or did somebody do internships in the past?

Nope. So far all of our job positions have been there since years back.
For the internship and mentorship programs, we have been accepting interns from universities and colleges since 2014.

Do you accept job applications all year round for all positions?

For the internship program, yes. Whereas for the full-time position, it depends on the vacancy.

Can I submit multiple applications at one time?

No. Please read the job description well enough and learn to make up your mind before you decide which job position you would like to go after.

Does the company offer any training?

Yes. We offer online video training and hands-on training to all of our members. Of course, your initiative to watch the online video training will decide the result.

Other than work, what else will Softinn members do?

We work hard, and we play harder. We have a monthly Potluck party (prior to the pandemic). Every Friday, we have a game session before we call it a week, even when we are working from home. Every Thursday, we dine-in at the office together (prior to the pandemic).

What is the working philosophy?

What are the working hours of Softinn?

We are working from Mon - Friday (9 am - 6 pm), with an hour lunch break at 12.30 pm.

What is the office attire?

Smart casual & clean will do.
